Coach Commitment
As a coach/junior coach/helper, I’m committed to creating a safe, positive, and team-centered environment. Here’s what I will do to support our swimmers and each other:
- I’ll always support and encourage swimmers—effort and progress matters.
- I’ll be patient and positive when teaching new skills—everyone grows at their own pace.
- I’ll treat all coaches on our team with respect and collaborate to make practices and meets run smoothly.
- I’ll respect other teams, their swimmers, coaches, and volunteers—we model great sportsmanship.
- I’ll lead by example on deck with a positive, focused, and professional attitude.
- I’ll stay off my phone during practices and meets so I can stay focused on the swimmers and their safety.
- I’ll communicate clearly when handing off a lane and make sure my lane is covered at all times.
- I’ll note my time accurately and responsibly whenever I am working or volunteering.
- If I’m a paid coach, I will submit my timesheet on time, so our program stays organized.
- I’ll use our GroupMe platform to communicate with the coaching team, and I’ll notify the group in a timely manner if I’m going to be late or absent.
We’re stronger when we support each other—let’s build a team culture where safety, respect, and fun come first!
