Hi, everyone! Reminders/Announcements, are below in the following areas: Pre-season practices, Team gear swap, Officiating, Meets and Declaring Instructions.

Pre-season Practice This Week:

• 6/1: 8:15 PM-9:15 PM open to all competitive swimmers who are independent in the water
• 6/3: 8:15 PM-9:15 PM open to all competitive swimmers who are independent in the water
• 6/4: 8:15 PM-9:15 PM open to all competitive swimmers who are independent in the water
• 6/6: limited coaching staff available
• 12-1 PM 10-12 yrs (independent in the water)
• 1-2 PM 13+ yrs(independent in the water)
• 6/7: limited coaching staff available
• 12- 1 PM new swimmers 10 yrs and under NOT swimming year-round with a club team who are independent in the water
• 1-2 PM returning 10 yrs & under swimmers independent in the water + new 10 yrs & under swimmers who are current members of year-round club teams

Team Gear Swap:

Officiating:

• If you are able to officiate, please send [email protected] your availability for the various meets.
• Please consider attending a training to officiate. We cannot run meets without officials. There is one remaining training session on June 9 7-9 (virtual). To sign up, just fill out the form at this link, and let me ([email protected]) know once you’ve signed up so we can keep track. We absolutely cannot run meets without officials.

Meets!

Our first meets are coming up quickly! Please let us know which meets your swimmer will swim in by ‘declaring’. You can also let us know which pep rallies they will attend. These deadlines will come up quickly as the season starts. Instructions on declaring your swimmer are listed at this link:

Please note that coaches will pick the events for your swimmer, but you can tell us information about what they would like to swim or if they have to leave early.

Declaring Instructions

To ‘declare’ your swimmer, please follow the instructions below. Swimmers must be declared by the deadline listed. If you have a Pup that has been cleared to compete by a coach, please send Shannon an email so she can enable you to declare them if you do not see that option available already.

1. Log into your Swimtopia account.

2. Click on Meets and Events tab

3. Click on Signup Meets/Events.

4. Click on the Meet Entry Button for the meet you are declaring your swimmers for.

5. Click the gray Edit button

6. In the page that appears, change ‘undeclared’ to ‘not attending this meet’ or ‘attending this meet’ for each swimmer. Enter any notes that the coach needs to know in the ‘notes for coach’ box that appears. This is especially important for swimmers who have not attended many preseason practices. When done, click the save button at the bottom of the page.
